Agniveer recruitment for the Army, Navy and Air Force is handled through online registration, where you upload a recent photograph and your signature. Limits vary between the services and between years, so the table shows the commonly quoted values, and the tool uses the tighter end of each range so your file is safe.

The tool follows numbers rather than service names, so it suits any Agniveer process that asks for a JPEG photograph and signature. Because the official portals are updated for every cycle, treat the numbers here as a sensible starting point and compare them with the current notice before you submit.

1. Select Photo. Upload a clear recent portrait and centre your face in the crop frame.
2. Check the checks. Look at the size and dimensions chips. Both should turn green.
3. Download, then choose Signature. Sign on white paper, photograph it from above and crop close to the ink.
4. Save the pair. Use the ZIP button to keep both files together for the form.

Recruitment photographs should look neat and recent. Stand facing a window for even light, keep a plain light wall behind you, look straight into the lens and keep your face fully visible.

• Dress neatly. A clean collared shirt or plain top looks best.
• Keep your head uncovered unless your notice says otherwise, and avoid dark glasses.

• Skip filters. Natural pictures are accepted far more easily.

Use a dark pen on plain white paper and photograph it from straight above in daylight, so no shadow crosses the ink. Crop close to the signature, leave a thin margin and keep ink clean-up on.

Sign the way you do on your identity documents. The signature will be compared with the ones you give later during document checks, so a consistent style helps.

Registration windows can be short and portals get busy. Prepare your photograph and signature in advance, keep them in one folder, and note their sizes. Keep soft copies of your educational certificates, identity proof and any other documents the notice lists, so that you can fill the form in one sitting without hunting for files.

If the portal rejects an upload, do not guess. Check the exact limit in the message, adjust it in Customise and download a fresh file.

• The file is larger or smaller than the permitted size.
• The photograph is stretched because it was resized without cropping.
• The picture is dark, blurred or taken against a cluttered background.
• The signature is faint, too small or sits in a shadow.
• The file is not saved as a JPEG.
