IBPS photo, signature, thumb and declaration at a glance
IBPS recruitment applications usually need four uploads: a recent photograph, your signature, a left thumb impression and a short handwritten declaration. Each has its own file size range and preferred dimensions. The table shows the values commonly quoted in recent IBPS notices, and they are the starting values in this tool.
| Document | File size | Dimensions | What it should show |
|---|---|---|---|
| Photograph | 20 to 50 KB | 200 Γ 230 px | Recent colour photo on a plain light background |
| Signature | 10 to 20 KB | 140 Γ 60 px | Your signature in dark ink on white paper |
| Left thumb impression | 20 to 50 KB | 240 Γ 240 px | A clear, dark print on white paper |
| Handwritten declaration | 50 to 100 KB | 800 Γ 400 px | Written by you in English with dark ink |
IBPS can revise these details for every common recruitment process, so read your notice and use the Customise section if the numbers differ.
Which IBPS exams this tool is for
The tool follows numbers rather than exam names, so it suits any IBPS process that uses these four uploads. That includes IBPS PO and Management Trainee, IBPS Clerk, IBPS SO (Specialist Officer), and the Regional Rural Bank recruitments for Officer Scale I, II and III and Office Assistant (Multipurpose).
If a particular exam asks for different sizes, enter the new width, height and KB limits in Customise IBPS Requirements. The live check and the ZIP download keep working with whatever you enter.
Preparing all four IBPS files
- Photograph. Select Photo, upload a clear portrait and centre your face in the crop frame.
- Signature. Sign on white paper, photograph it from straight above and crop close to the ink.
- Left thumb. Press your left thumb on an ink pad, roll it lightly on white paper and photograph the print.
- Declaration. Copy the sentence by hand in your own writing and upload a photo of the page.
- Collect them. Download each file and use the ZIP button to keep the full set together.
Getting the IBPS photograph right
Choose soft daylight, ideally facing a window, so your face is evenly lit. Stand in front of a plain light wall, look straight at the lens and keep a relaxed expression.
- Keep it recent. The picture should match how you look on exam day.
- Show your full face. Avoid caps, dark glasses and hair across the eyes.
- Clean the background. Our background remover can make it plain white.
- Skip filters. Natural pictures pass checks more easily.
Signature and left thumb impression
For the signature, use a dark pen on unlined white paper and sign as you normally do. Photograph the page from directly above in daylight, crop tightly and keep ink clean-up on.
For the thumb impression, press your left thumb on the ink pad and roll it gently across white paper in one smooth motion. A single dark, clear print is best. If it looks faint, raise the ink strength slider instead of pressing harder, which can smudge the lines.
Writing the handwritten declaration
IBPS notices ask candidates to copy a short sentence by hand. It usually reads: I, (name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.
- Write it yourself, in English, in your normal handwriting.
- Use black or dark ink on plain white paper with no lines or borders.
- Check your notice about capital letters, since some ask you to avoid them.
- Keep the page flat and bright so every word is readable at 800 Γ 400 pixels.
Common reasons IBPS uploads fail
- The file is outside the allowed KB range.
- The image was stretched to fit instead of being cropped.
- The photo, print or handwriting is blurred, dark or shadowed.
- The thumb print is smudged or the wrong thumb was used.
- The declaration was typed or written in a style the notice does not allow.
- The file is not saved as a JPEG.
Staying private while you prepare files
Every picture is processed inside your browser, so your photo, signature and fingerprint are never uploaded to our servers. When a file is ready, download it, collect the set into a ZIP, or use Share to send the image with a link to this page. Delete shared copies from chats afterwards, because these are personal documents.
